PARTIAL INDEX/ SEPTEMBER 2008
The "Symbols of Australia Archive & Photo-Library” started as my personal archive so that I could organize the material when I was researching the Symbols of Australia book. By choice it has a narrow focus on Australian commercial iconography as expressed in trademarks, packaging, POS displays, publications, signs and logos. I have gradually added to the SoA Archive so that it now contains several thousand images on colour film and as digital files. Besides all the material that is available in the SoA book, the partial list below shows some other areas covered by the Archive.
